reed.co.uk appoints Underwired to online ad task
3rd September, 2008
reed.co.uk, the UK's biggest job site with over 170,000 live jobs, has appointed Underwired to handle online advertising production for its latest consumer campaign.
When it launched in 1995, reed.co.uk was the first recruitment site offered by a recruitment agency in the UK, since then, developing into the UK's leading recruitment site. Today, over 1.9 million jobseekers visit reed.co.uk every month, making nearly 50,000 job applications everyday.
Underwired has been hired to produce fast turnaround ad campaigns starting with the digital component to an integrated campaign launching in September. With a brief to increase brand awareness and traffic to reed.co.uk, Underwired will be developing online creative in line with the reed.co.uk brand and will work in unison with its other agencies.
Mark Rhodes, reed.co.uk's Head of Marketing, commented, "We were impressed with Underwired's portfolio and their approach to working with us. We're looking forward to working with the team and anticipate some great output."
Emma Nicol, Underwired's Head of Client Services, added, "reed.co.uk is a service we're familiar with as a corporate customer, so it's nice to be able to reflect our own experiences with the service in the online campaigns we're producing. Around a quarter of our business is fast turnaround advertising, designed to make a directly measurable impact on sales, and we're used to working within a team of agencies to produce coherent, joined up work - and in fact I think it's this demonstrably non-precious approach that has helped us get up and running so quickly during the early stages of working as part of the team."
Underwired's client list includes News International, Nickelodeon, Peugeot, Virgin, McCain Foods, Philips amBX and AAR.
