Peugeot has launched a new website for its customers through digital and eCRM specialist Underwired. The site, ‘My Peugeot’, has been designed to give customers information about their car’s history and future requirements, providing space for service reminders, dealership information, offers and promotions, news feeds and product news. The site is being rolled out initially across Peugeot’s five main European markets - UK, France, Spain, Italy and Germany.
Underwired, which specialises in digital relationship marketing and eCRM projects, designed the new site using an AJAX-based interface. Customers have to register their VIN number and can then select modules that interest them, as well as colour schemes and self-selected RSS feeds. Content tailored to each individual’s specific needs is provided through a centralised content management system by Peugeot’s in-house team.
Peugeot’s Internet Marketing Manager Andy Goodall, who oversaw the project, commented, “The aim of ‘My Peugeot’ is to make life easier for our customers by providing direct access to our full range of services in one central space. ‘My Peugeot’ will allow us to communicate more efficiently with our customers and deliver relevant, timely communications whilst adding real value through other methods including special offers and promotions.”
Felix Velarde, Managing Director at Underwired, said, “A project like this combines all the common sense requirements of great customer relations, with a platform for learning about customer preferences and optimising the timing and relevance of the communications they choose to receive. As a CRM tool ‘My Peugeot’ will be invaluable, and will inevitably increase engagement and retention, as well as providing the opportunity to talk to existing owners about some of Peugeot’s fantastic new products like the forthcoming RCZ.”
